Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Convert more leads into business

To review the sales process from cold call to a closed deal. We get a lot of calls and emails from potential customers but lose out on their business. We have competition in Toronto from a few other similar companies. Customers either find it too expensive and lose interest, or opt with our competitors. Once a customer contacts us, we ask them to provide measurements and photos of their outdoor space. From that, we generate an online quote via email. Some quotes are provided on business letterhead. Asking a customer to do something is maybe not the best approach. We also do home visits (to show the tiles and check measurements) but only after the customer is aware of pricing and confirms it's within their budget so to avoid unnecessary trips.

Learn more about our competition and adjust our pricing accordingly

Our pricing is possibly too low and we are missing out on potential profits. This is a delicate balancing act so to avoid missing out on potential business because pricing might be too high compared to competitors. Pricing is set per square foot area space of their outdoor floor and influenced by total surface area as well as complexity of installation (e.g. cuts needed to fit tiles around balcony railing posts; odd balcony configurations). Pricing includes composite (WPC) deck tile supply with custom installation and 10-year warranty on tiles and workmanship. Our main tile supplier is NewTechWood, based in Montreal, Canada. This could be created using a SWOT analysis.

Marketing Strategy Development

We are also looking to develop some innovative marketing strategies for promoting our services and increasing the number of business leads we generate. This would involve:

  • Developing an inbound marketing strategy or sales prospecting strategy
  • Understanding our unique value proposition and helping us create a strong brand image with the associated messaging that makes it easy for prospects to understand our services, pricing, etc.
  • What channels should we utilize to promote our business?
